Welcome to our Afterpay FAQ! We’re here to help you understand how to use Afterpay to make your shopping experience even easier. Below are the most common questions customers have about using Afterpay.
What is Afterpay?
Afterpay is a payment service that allows you to split your purchase into four equal, interest-free installments, paid every two weeks. This means you can shop now and pay later, without paying interest or fees if you pay on time.
How to use Afterpay
- To use Afterpay, simply select it as your payment method at checkout. If you’re using Afterpay for the first time, you’ll be asked to sign up for an Afterpay account. Afterpay will perform a quick approval process based on your order and payment history. Once approved, you can complete your purchase, and Afterpay will divide the total into four payments.
- You can view your payment schedule, make payments, and manage your Afterpay account by logging into your Afterpay account online or through the Afterpay mobile app.
- To update your payment details, log in to your Afterpay account and navigate to your account settings. From there, you can add or change your payment method.
- Please note, you may only use Afterpay as a payment method on orders of $75 or more, after discounts.
How Afterpay fees and payments work
- Are there any fees with Afterpay? Afterpay is interest-free if you make your payments on time. However, if you miss a payment or don’t pay on time, a late fee may apply. The exact fee will depend on your location and the total amount of your purchase. For more information on late fees, please visit the Afterpay website.
- When will my payments be due? Payments are automatically deducted from your chosen payment method every two weeks. You can view your payment schedule in your Afterpay account.
- Can I pay off my Afterpay balance early? You can pay off your balance early without any penalties. Simply log in to your Afterpay account, and you’ll have the option to pay off the remaining balance at any time.
- What happens if I miss a payment? If you miss a payment, Afterpay will attempt to process the payment again after a few days. If the payment is still unsuccessful, late fees may apply, and your account could be suspended until the outstanding payment is made.
Cancellations and Returns with Afterpay
- Can I return items purchased with Afterpay? Our standard return policy applies. Once your return is processed, Afterpay will adjust your payment schedule accordingly, and any applicable refunds will be issued to your Afterpay account.
- Will I Be Charged If the Order is Cancelled? You will not be charged. If you’ve already made a payment to Afterpay this will be refunded to you. Please note that it may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your bank account or credit card statement. For any questions regarding the refund process, please contact Affirm directly.
